20 minutes ago I received notification that all my VPS servers are no longer able to sample Binance’s market data via their API. Geofencing is enforced even for read-only market sampling. No other exchange geofences their read-only public endpoints. This is real bullshit and I won’t adapt to the new condition.

1 – they ban accounts for using VPN’s

2 – they have a brutal AML system that is imposed by Governments that allowed them to operate in certain regions like the Euro Zone

3 – You’re using a VPS to sample data from them

4 – the data is being used for unregulated regions that are most likely not allowed to operate on Binace.com

    5 –

Geofencing is absolutely mandatory if they don’t want to lose accreditations.

Strikes me strange that so many people fud against Binance and everything they change due to regulatory laws , but how about telling your bank you can’t do this or that on their platforms? … ah , i forgot, that’s the reason why you’re using Binance, cause the trad finance is even less flexible regarding options.

Maybe like this people start to get the point about Cex -> Banks vs Open De-fi and Web3 dapps.

I have similar problem – my systems are on google cloud, and even with region setup for “asia-northeast1” I am still on the US IPs.

Two days lost… Anyone got a clue how to work around it?

Today I realized my api calls had the same issue. I don’t understand why geographically restricting api calls would be beneficial to regulatory compliance.

Does anyone know where the Binance servers are located so I can whitelist their API IP address ranges

After some research, i have found my problem: i made the binance API request from a Google Sheet macro and now the IP that is used is not allowed to make binance API request.

If i made requests locally (curl, python, nodejs, etc…) all are working well.

You can check yourself with binance api examples: [https://github.com/binance/binance-signature-examples](https://github.com/binance/binance-signature-examples)

Is there any update on this? It seems like the only option for now is to switch the location of the servers making the request to Binance to a non-us IP.

I had a similar issue about the same time. It seems my server location in NY is not allowed to access binance.com.
