It is fair to note that up until this point, I have not had a lot of negative interactions with Binance, their customer service is usually pretty high quality and the representatives try their best to help.

However, I have recently received an email from the service, in which they notified me that my account is being deactivated for violation of the Terms of Use and that I should withdraw my funds within the next week. I have done a fair amount of research into the aforementioned terms and was assured that whatever they thought I violated was either a misunderstanding or just a mistake that could be explained. After checking the Terms of Use again and making sure I have done nothing that could be deemed as a violation, I contacted Customer support with the hope that they would shed light on what was it that I have done to have my account deactivated.

As you could have guessed by the title of this post, contacting support did not help my situation in the slightest. After hours of trying to negotiate a deeper look into the issue, kindly asking to at least tell me what I have violated, and being transferred to 3 different agents, all I could get them to say was “our system flagged you because you have violated our Terms of Use” and “withdraw your funds”. Even Binance’s own website states that if the Terms of Use are thought to be violated one can contact support for assistance with resolving the issue.

Needless to say that this has upset me. As mentioned before, I have not had many issues with Binance prior to this, I like the app and the customer service is usually on point. I, therefore, was greatly disappointed that the service that I have grown fond of has devolved to the point where a customer that has used the app for years cannot find out the reason their account is being deactivated and has to resort to writing a post on Reddit to complain. Binance has many substitutes that are just as good and this whole thing is just a slight inconvenience when you look at it that way, however, it does not make sense to me that the app that otherwise has such great customer service so blatantly refuses to elaborate or help fix the issue that could easily be a mistake.

People will just answer here “you used a VPN and deserve this ban”, but they’re actually Binance bots.
