Please beware that BITSTAMP is closing/terminating Accounts without any prior notice, they’ll disable your login and will terminate your Account. Matter of fact is that I’m a customer for several years already, and have go through KYC procedures and everything. And now when I transferred a substantial sum 40+K EUR to my Account it got Terminated and Closed, so please BEWARE and consider other exchanges.

    And it definitely tells you something, when you open BITSTAMP subreddit, and most of the topics on the front page are about Account closures and terminations.

    Day 3 Update

    It’s amazing how useless is the support and company itself, they aren’t replying to any of my messages, and can’t provide timelines for their actions.

    Finally got an update at the end of Day 3, and received my Account trade summary on Day 4.

    They executed Sells on the first day of Account termination at Market rates

    Been with this exchange since 2013. Withdrew some BTC a couple months ago and about a week later my account gets closed without reason. Got my funds back anyway (lower than market-price). Felt fishy as fuck.

    This has just happened to me! I have no idea what I’m supposed to have done and BITSTAMP won’t tell me…… Can I ask did you all get your full balance (based on the balance at the time of termination) back and how long did it take. I am based in the UK. Thank you
