Bitstamp – SEPA withdrawal taking 7 business days and counting
[ad_1]
I have experience with many exchanges and just began using Bitstamp, for my disappointment it has been by far the slowest support team in the market and also the least clear about the status of my transaction.
I executed my withdrawal on July 12th expecting what was normally taking 1 business day to reach my account.
Now, after several calls euros were lost in international calls to their office in London, they keep stalling telling me they have contacted their bank to check the status of my transaction.
I have no idea if my funds have been stolen, or sent to another account or if they have decided to conduct some kind of investigation related to my funds.
Whether it is relevant or not I have been left in the dark about my money for almost 2 weeks now. If you have a similar situation going on expect the same, this company is a joke regarding customer service.
To anyone reading this do not use Bitstamp, they have clearly their own agenda in regards to your money. They say it is always regulation or stall blaming their bank, whom they should be able to talk to with one phone call and answer my emails accordingly.
I will recommend all my clients to never use Bitstamp as main exchange. I hope this gets resolved I will keep everyone updated on this matter just please stay away from Bitstamp.
Sincerely,
Javier Rennola
Update: Business day number 24, after pushing via their social media, LinkedIn specifically finally got some attention my account has been enabled for everything again and my money has reached my account.

I had exactly the same experience. After 2 months of emails, phone calls… etc. my money finally hit my account. The worst exchange by far!
It feels that they are using your money in some way, so they execute the transaction in the backoffice when they are able to do it.
they blame the bank all the way, and the worst thing is that don’t take any responsibility from the missing money.. it’s like “our bank is not sending the information requested, contact your bank” WTF
Hey, we’ve replied to your post via Lucas on Reddit, you can also send us a DM with more info here. We’d like to take a closer look at this. 🙂
