Hello yesterday 14/11/2018 18:30 BITSTAMP sent me an Account Termination Notice to my email.
I contact support both luxemburg and usa and the costumer support couldn’t assist me with this issue and refused to give me any detail or explanation about why the termination occurred or which course of action the department follow to return my currency back to my bank account . Well i dont really care at this stage about an explanation im just extremely worried about my Life savings return to my bank account .
At the email they say that i will have my money return to my account in 14 days since the termination date. i gave them all my details that they requested . and they reply that the department have been informed and they will let me know when they finalize the transaction. I have been an costumer of bitstamp for a year now and the only thing i was doing was putting money through debit card link to my bank account nothing suspicious or warning . Just holding ripple at my bitsamp account not moving them not doing anything just sitting there (my life savings ) all the money of one year of hard labor . I try and contact again at the last email they sent me and i have no answer back .
please im not looking for any explanation . i just want my life savings back as you promised
please if there is someone from bitstamp to ease my worries a bit cause i have no luck with your costumer support neither the emails at your support team, My support ticket “BIT-67956”

Kind regards ,
ioannis

I hope it works out for you. Incidents like this are exactly why I moved my XRP off of Bitstamp and into a paper wallet.

    Was this account ever verified.
Meaning you can open up an account with a certain amount of information but in order to get it all the way verified you needed it i d i e driver’s license all that good stuff.
Second they were requesting that everybody get a Google authentification set up was that ever done on your part. I think they said that they would give a certain amount of time to get a Google identification or they will be somehow either stopping or not letting people buy any more on that account.

    1. Some time ago bitstamp required all of their customers to be verified meaning ID driver’s license social security number excetera.

    2. Also they requested that their account holders have Google Authentication otherwise they would fries or stop their account due to security concerns. Did you download and have Google Authentication? Not saying that is the reason but if you did not download it it could have been a factor.

Hi, rest assured that your funds will be returned to your bank account. I’ll also urge the person in charge of your case to reply to your email asap.

I didn’t know you could deposit XRP with a debit card.

It is frustrating to have accounts inaccessible or closed without explanation. More so that they force a liquidation.

I’m sure there is a reason. Whether it’s a good one or not, I don’t know.

But your story just reinforces the advice I would give anybody else, and that is not “bank” in another country. Not to put your life savings into crypto. And not to keep crypto on an exchange unless it’s Coinbase or Gemini and since they don’t support XRP, get yourself a paper or hardware wallet and keep the seed safe.

Are you saying that if you leave cryptocurrency in your account over a year they will terminate the account is that what you’re saying, because if that’s the case a whole lot of people is going to have their account closed. Oh my God I hope that’s not true.
