Kucoin asking for $80 to credit DOT transferred to user wallet

[ad_1]

So the other day I deposited some DOT to my Kucoin DOT wallet. The transaction was successful and I can see the transferred DOT in my Kucoin DOT user wallet (on subscan). However, it’s not showing in my Kucoin balance.

Contacted support and they want me to pay $80 (30% of the total) to credit the DOT to my account because it was a crosschain transfer. And they need to manually credit the asset and that’s “significant resource consumption”.

This sounds like a scam or a clever way to extract money from customers. I’m using Kucoin for years and never had and issue depositing until now. Probably last time I’m using them.

Did you transfer on wrong network? They generally charge a manual intervention fee
