KYC verification requires a mobile app?

I was asked to do a verification process again. OK.
I login in the website, followed the instruction for the “New Identity Verification” and it asks me to install an app on my mobile.
Why does it require the Binance app on the mobile?
I don’t want to use the app, I don’t want to install it.
How can I do the verification without the app?

Hi, if your pc camera is suitable for verification, the system will not prompt you to install the mobile app, but if not, you may need to continue the verification process through the mobile app. You can temporarily install the application and if you do not want to use it after completing your operations, you can uninstall the application. Since I wrote this message I received 4-5 requests in the Chat from similar Binance support/help names (in less than 5 minutes).
I got also the answer in the post so I replied here, it can be usefull for someone else.
I ignored all the fake BiannceHelp users messages i receive by chat.

I “love” the app. So convenient to just scan the QR code when it’s time to log in.
Since I jump from Windows to Linux more than once a day, I would have to do 2FA Reach time…and I think that is boring af.

I keep seeing this often , and Wonders how KYC would work on DeFi platforms and ecosystems.
As it seems to be part of the sets of regulations trooping into DeFi soonest.
