Liquidation calculator is wrong
[ad_1]
I opened a isolated short on ETH at 1550$ with 50x and my Liq price is 1572$. Why is that? Shouldn’t it be 1581 because 1550 + 2% is 1581.
This happens to me all the time. Even if i go x40, my liq price is never right.

Because the liquidation price takes into account for liquidation insurance. This happens more often when your leverage is high and you have a high margin ratio. To ensure you hit your desired stop-loss, manually key in your stop loss instead (and make it like 15-20% lower than the theoretical calculated liquidation price).

Fees
They need a buffer and they need to charge fees.
The price is “right” you’re just not accounting for reality.
