WARNING – BLOCKING ACCOUNT ACCESS

I have had an account at Bitstamp for four years.

I trusted my funds to Bitstamp, but now I can not access my account anymore. Why?

I haven’t changed anything from the last login.

Suddenly, FA2 authentication is not letting me through.

Consequently, I selected recover FA2, I went through ID verification and got approved. The support team sent me an email with a statement that FA2 is now disabled. BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE. At login, the FA2 is still blocking me from accessing my account. I can change my password and get confirmations by mail, but I need support to disable my FA2.

Further, I tried every possible way to get help: contact support by mail, requested to reset FA2 again. Also, tried to contact Bitstamp through Reddit and X, but nothing is happening anymore. JUST SILENCE FROM BITSTAMP. IGNORANCE.

Institutions like Bitstamp shouldn’t ignore customers and block them from accessing their money. It is not a small amount for me, also. In the meantime, the market is changing rapidly and preventing me from accessing my account can be financially harmful to me.

This is a scary situation beyond any legitimacy. Something weird is happening at Bitstamp. People should be warned widely about such situations.

**I did manage to regain access to my account and restored 2FA with support help. That’s OK.**

**BUT NOW when reached my account, I recognized my assets were blocked. I CAN’T trade, withdraw or manage my funds.**

**Bitstamp hasn’t notified me about that in any way.**

**Contacted support and here we go – no responses again.**

**—UPDATE 18.11.2024—**

**Bitstamp is still denying me access to my money. Provided all the proof requested.**

**When I provide one incontestable proof of my identity, they come up with another idea. And the game is on again for a few days of silence and buying more time.**

    Those problems seem to start when they announced RH is buying them. I have no idea but feels like they uograded/switched platforms (I could be completely off here). So 3 of my accounts didn’t work with 2FA anymore. Had to reset 2FA, got confirmation 2FA si disabled but really wasn’t on any of the accounts. When I tried to login I tried it so many times the account(S) got completely blocked. After theat I re-did my ID verification (like when resetting 2FA),got link to reset password, did that and regained access to all of the accounts. It was 2 or 3 days of process. It’s a stumble but just follow what bitstamp site throws at you.

    Same here… account locked, after review on the 21st of October they confirmed that everything is ok and I can continue trading but the account is still locked.
