Solana can scale. It actually is processing more transactions than the rest of the top100 together. It has the most vibrant ecosystem after ethereum.
However it has halted like 4 times in a year and had to restart which takes some hours.
So Solana can scale. It shows everyday. But it is lacking consistency. They were supposed to fix the issue, which has been always the same, months ago. They didn’t want to change the structure of the fees, which are super cheap, but they will have to do it.
