For those of you that won’t read the article, the ~7000 BTC loss is fully covered by the SAFU fund and, from a user perspective, nothing will change (except for the temporary suspension of deposits/withdrawals).

With that said, we’re in the process of investigating, and we will track the stolen funds with the help of blockchain analysis partners and other exchanges.

I learned this lesson early on: don’t leave access to your coins on exchanges. Exchange and move it back to keys you control.

I’m locked out of my account settings yet I am still logged in and able to trade. How do I change my security settings in this situation?

    Thanks

Comes out that tethers aren’t backed by anything but bitfinex’s raided cold wallets and then the largest holder of usdt get hacked…… holy fuck should probably locate an exchange that you can short trade tether futures lol this shit is gonna crumble

I’m extremely disappointed in Binance. Alterations to the blockchain are not possible. The core dev’s suggestion should have been immediately dismissed. This shows you don’t get Bitcoin.

If it turns out because of your incompetence and lack of time dedicated towards implement segwit in over a year. You won’t be a victim. This will be an act of negligence.

Altcoins don’t matter. There isn’t a legitimate one. Your support for them should always be secondary to Bitcoin.

You should investigate if someone from the well-known fraud or a fanboy of the Satoshi imposter is behind the hack.

Someone sent me ether today and I still haven’t received. Does this affect payments being received?

Well, I think the hack wouldn’t even appear if Binance used ADAMANT Messenger 2FA – [https://medium.com/adamant-im/presenting-adamant-2fa-838db2322f7a](https://medium.com/adamant-im/presenting-adamant-2fa-838db2322f7a)
It’s fully on the blockchain, which has so many more benefits than classical ones… Just can’t understand why ppl deny using decentralized solutions when radically support decentralization and cryptography.
