Does Binance automatically acquire a certain amount of an asset when they list the asset for margin trading? If so, how much?

[ad_1]

I’ve been trying to margin trade various lower-profile assets over the past few days but I’m getting the same message: “Due to high borrowing demand, there are currently insufficient loanable assets for (asset name.) Please adjust your borrow amount or try again tomorrow.”

Even adjusting the borrow amount to 1, it still gives the same message.

Out of curiosity I’ve checked a random selection of assets on various Binance market lists, and I’m getting the same message.

Others have posted about this borrowing issue in the past, but I’d like to know if Binance has said how much of an asset they acquire for lending purposes when they list an asset to margin trading.

I can’t find any clear information online about Binance’s reserve when it comes to these lower profile assets. It’s not like they’re low performing assets. They have significant enough volume to make a trade worth taking.

Any insight would be helpful.

No, they most likely take it from the earn program. Which is a good way to secure a yield

Why would they? They will get both coins of a pair as fees and they dont need to own any of said coins, because, they are not supposed to need them anyway.

An exchange is just a matching engine that matches bids of users who deposited their coins with the exchange and ideally once a user has traded their coins, the user would withdraw again, and the exchange would pocket trading fees and maybe withdrawal fees, but there is no need for the exchange to actually own any of those coins.

The referral program that u/cifdaq incorporates is great! Because you will have the opportunity to earn more profits and rewards through an automated mechanism – and without limits!
