Kucoin is not letting my friend withdraw and is asking for kyc. Please help!!!

    KYC is not mandatory on KuCoin. You may still perform all functions on our exchange as normal even if you are not verified. However, there will be a withdrawal limit of [2 BTC](https://kucoin.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015102254-About-KYC-Verification) per 24 hours for unverified accounts.     Once they ask you for KYC verification there is not much else you can do and nothing to get out of it. Unfortunately this is how many exchanges, most famously HitBTC, have started to operate.

    My friend does not feel comfortable with kyc. Possible to deny kyc? What are the next steps to move forward?

    Edit: solved! Kucoin let my friend withdraw no kyc no problem. Thanks for all your help!

    How about cancel the withdraw, and then request again in small chunks?

    The worst they can do is let u withdraw to the same address that it was deposited from then close your account they cant technically keep ur money
