REPUBLIK, a content platform that uses integrated smart contracts to supercharge monetization tools for creators, announced today that it has raised $3.5M in its seed funding round, bringing its valuation to $75M.
The latest investment includes funding from founder of ‘The Block’, Mike Dudas’s 6th Man Ventures, Arcane Group, Define Ventures, Enjin, FBG Capital, Mirana Ventures, Sora Ventures, and Justin Sun’s Tron Network.
From observation, they appear to be onboarding a lot of web2 creators which seems to be a pretty different strategy from other web3 social fi projects – the content in the app actually looks organic. The company is based in LA, Berlin and Singapore and has already over 100k signups, 100+ Community Collaborations and over 1000+ Web 2 creators onboarded.
Their Platform is already available on both iOS and Google playstore, Apparently you can start grinding out for XP which might translate into Token Airdrops? I’m checking it out and there has been a fair amount of web 2 KOL related challenges that seems very interesting, also their new thread-ish function that generates replies in a new and innovative way.
My take would be to check it out and join their socials while we see how this high valuation plays out. Overall, I’m bullish on the project 🐂
