What does binace do with my personal info
Hi, i recently installed binance because I saw a promo ad on reddit. They gave me 2 usdt for free. I studied a bit about crypto via youtube and managed to get profit of 3 usdt over a few days. But sadly I lost it all when I let the futures strategy trading bot run all night and it was liquidated.
I wanted to buy about 10 usdt since I received a coupon for 20 usdt cashback on deopsits for 10 or higher. When i went to buy with my card (because I don’t have cash to do p2p with) binance asked to use my info like name, email, documents, biometrics, picture & videos of myself to share with their partners.
I have no objection to sharing my name, email and some documents but I don’t feel comfortable with sharing my biometrics and photos/videos with unknown parties.
So my question is, who does binance share those documents with and is it safe??
TL/DR – I’m not comfortable with sharing biometrics with binance and want to know if it’s safe to share them
They make a 3D rendering of your Dog and design raincoats for it to sell online

The first article
“I learned a bit about crypto on YouTube, then i lost it all by letting a futures bot run all night”
Ah yes, the good ol’ 30minute moonboy crypto degen scenario….lmao
Dude doesnt want to give binance his selfie, but is ok with giving some random trading bot control over his whole portfolio, fucking legend
The biometrics is just allowing it to access the function on your phone, so you can use Face ID/Touch ID to log in and out quicker.
The photo is to match with your ID, iirc.
every app uses your personal info. only difference is whether they make it obvious
A CEX like Binance is not 100% safe, no centeal entity in the world is, only crypto projects like midnight/prism will hopefully be able to produce such safety.
Also if you buy cryptos you should put them on a cold storage wallet like ledger and not keep them on a CEX. Its easy to do so, but has to be done with a plan and with a lot of caution.

You don’t have to share biometrics … at least i still don’t use that.

KYC requirements. Basically they need it for legal reasons to operate within your country. Like going to a bank and opening an account, they need to know who you are.
