I can’t figure it out. If I short 10 SOL and don’t have any SOL in the cross wallet (only BUSD), my original amount is 0 and my borrow amount is 10 but you can’t set 0 the original amount.

What would be the correct way of calculating it with the previous example?

    why can’t the original amount be 0?

    if you have 0 SOL and you borrow 10 SOL and sell them, you now still have 0 SOL and you owe 10 SOL. you also now have an additional 10 SOL worth of busd you got when you sold it.

    The total amount of busd you have is now partially locked to the floating price of SOL. if SOL goes up in cost such that your original amount of busd plus the amount you got for selling the 10 SOL is dangerously close to not being able to afford purchase another 10 SOL to repay your debt, then you’re busto and now you have no SOL or busd, though your loan of 10 SOL is repaid in full. your net loss is your starting busd
