Kucoin daily bonus is being paid out to the uncirculating tokens (as listed on CMC) as well as circulating coins.

>(Daily Volume * 0.002) * 50% * (Owned KCS/Total KCS)

So if you own 10k KCS, for a day like yesterday (with ~$12.5M in daily volume), we get:

**Using Circulating KCS:**

(12,400,000 * 0.002) * 0.5 * (10,000/90,000,000) = $1.38 worth of KCS bonus

**Including Un-circulating KCS:**

(12,400,000 * 0.002) * 0.5 * (10,000/180,000,000) = $0.69 worth of KCS bonus

The payout for yesterday was the second one, not the first. If these tokens are collecting a KCS bonus (and are reducing the payout for others), they should be listed as circulating to avoid this. Otherwise the token’s value is seemingly deceptive as other coins and tokens’s un-circulating status means that they are not issued yet (and not interacting with the system at all).

    This is why KuCoin need to be transparent on how much they are buying back each day and how much is distributed daily.

    They can easily set that up on the KCS bonus page, Michael Gan (CEO) himself has spoken of transparency. Let’s see it.

    After researching this more it seems it has always been the case that locked tokens still received KCS bonus.

    If you go to KuCoin telegram and search for messages from @kc_kent (KuCoins VP) you can see this has been discussed. When I have time I can compile the conversation, for now people can scroll through the list of messages themselves.

    So basically it’s a 25% fee share to dividend holders and not 50% as advertised since the unlocked tokens are held by Kucoin themselves and they are awarding themselves dividends.
