Every 8 hours the total value of your position is multiplied by the funding rate and that amount is applied to your pnl.
If the funding rate is positive, then longs pay the shorts. When funding rate is negative, shorts pay longs.
Pay attention to funding rate… As it approaches 0, you have a good opportunity for volatility.
