ADVICE FOR A BLOCKED ACCOUNT & DISSPOSED FUNDS / MONEY

They blocked my trading and withdrawal for no reason. There is no way to unlock that, I tried everything. I personally never ever experienced something like this. Ignorance, lies, empty promises, and humiliating demands. Asking me to take a selfie holding an ID document in one hand and something written in the other is just too much. It misses just the demand for standing on one foot at the same time. Now, I have no nerves to play their game anymore. I said, enough is enough. It is people’s money and they have no reasons or rights to dispossess it in any way.

We are now gathering people with the same experience in our region. There are quite a lot of them already.

As advised by my lawyer, we will act together and divide the costs. A regional lawyer then proceeds as follows:

First, he collects evidence from clients, so the best way is to make screenshots and save emails, bank transactions, and any other handy proof. Further:

\- he contacts the regional police department for international law enforcement;

\- he is getting in contact with a lawyer in Luxembourg, who will contact their local police and press charges against the company and every person responsible for that, including managers and others in the chain, agents, IT experts,… It should be interesting to see, how their concept is working when police knocks at the door. Hiding behind the internet won’t help anymore then;

\- then there should be an investigation and evidence collection;

\- after that, there goes a lawsuit for loss of money/funds/assets and any other losses connected with that.

I hope this advice helps others, too. As it looks now, nothing else could help. Just find a good lawyer and organise.

    They did the same thing to me and caused me great damage in that I couldn’t trade, and now after 6 months they released my account and of course I immediately withdrew all the money.

    Sadly this is the new bitstamp. They locked me out the same way and asked me for everything, but didn’t unlock my account for months. If you have money and crypto, MOVE THEM

    je suis dans la meme situation il me disent fait selfie avec photo et piece identite pour le ticket assistance et il ne debloque pas mon compte cela fait 15 jours c est des arnaqueurs

    Yesterday i was googling about Bitstamp locking people out of their accounts and found multiple posts on Reddit about the topic even from years ago. This is the whole purpose i even created this account.

    It started with me not being able to log into my account all of a sudden. I followed the procedure to reset my password with all of the steps that Bitstamp support guides your through. Turns out they denied my access / 2FA reset at the end cause supposedly someone from Singapore and Malaysia was trying to log into my account and i had to explain that???? Which I have zero clue about as i stated in my messages to support. First of all I provided completely everything they wanted in that ticket and still nothing came out of it (selfie video, ID pic, saying numbers into phone screen etc..). How is it my problem if someone is trying to hack into BITSTAMPS’S SYSTEM?? If I provided everything you need from me including a selfie, ID, video of me speaking into camera etc. to prove it is my account, what more proof do they need?? This would be the same as if I physically walked into the bank and provided everything including ID with picture of my face while im standing right there infront of them and getting denied acces to my own account.

    I started having problems even before getting locked out of my account with authorizing my account with proof of residency, utility bill, ID etc. which again I provided all that is needed and they couldnt get themselves to handle or process my request. After that I also couldnt update my new ID since my previous one was expiring at that time which they knew since they were sending me ”update your ID, the one you have now is about to expire” type of emails. So basically nothing of nothing from the support there.

    Identifying yourself is too much? get a grip , its European anti money laundering laws not Bitstanps fault.

    Then good, you got blocked from your account you fucking idiot.

    I swear this is 50% of the whiney issues posted here l, the others are bots.
