So I mistakenly sent a $32K deposit via Optimism to the Ethereum mainnet deposit address. I know, it was my mistake. However, it is technically feasible to recover my funds by sending the funds back to the OP wallet address as they are both ERC-20 tokens.

I immediately opened a support ticket and posted here to see if anyone had Bitstamp help them recover their funds.

It’s been more than a month. Through this whole thing, I’ve gotten very little clarity from support. It’s mostly been messages to placate me.

I’ve done enough trades with them that VIP is sending me a t-shirt, but I can’t get them to recover my funds.

I’m considering those tokens lost. It’s easier for me to sleep at night thinking I f\*cked off $32K than hoping that the day will come that bitstamp helps me get them back.

TLDR; No, bitstamp will not help you recover your funds

    Bro same to me… I dont know why bitstamp cant solve that kind of mistake. I know another exchanges that can solve the same problem – EASILY – but bitstamp is so arrogant and incompetent to NOT solve this shit.
