Writing this as a follow up to my previous post.

I called again today for an update on \~$9k USD they have been holding for over 3 months.

Same response “My colleagues are looking into it and they will provide an update shortly.”

I told customer service I have been receiving the same response for the last 3 months.

I then asked why Bitstamp can’t just write me a physical cheque and refund my money.

I asked would he ok with it if a company held $9k USD and not return it for 3 months.

He then hung up.

I guess Bitstamp customer support would not like being treated the way Bitstamp is treating me.

    If you have issue with Bitstamp, there are a two different ways to resolve it.

    First, you can submit a complain to the Luxembourg Financial Supervisor Authority. Conditions is “the complaint must have been first submitted in writing to the person responsible for the complaint handling at the level of the management of the professional aimed by the complainant (“manager responsible for complaint handling”);

    the complainant has not received a satisfactory answer nor an acknowledgement of receipt within one month as of the date the complaint was sent to the manager responsible for complaint handling;”

    I think, that support ticket is the same but it must be one month as of the date from first ticket.

    Second, you can submit a complain to your local police. It is your money, which you can not take back so it is offense by law.

    By my opinion, it is better contact to criminal police because it will be faster than financial regulator. Anyway, if police doesn’t help, you can send complain to financial regulator.

    I am having the same problem. For over 2 weeks I cant get anyone to respond to support tickets on my account being unable to deposit or withdrawal my funds. Is this company a scam or what?
