Funds being held by Bitstamp with no reason as to why.

Can anyone from Bitstamp please assist.

I have been having constant issues with Bitstamp that has caused me great distress and financial loss that I cannot recover.

I have been trading with you guys close to two months now and everything has been going smoothly, I followed all K.Y.C Procedures that were necessary to be able to deposit,withdrawal and use the platform to its full functionality. Everything has been going smoothly until the 18th of October 2023 I sent money from my account from Bidvest bank that is located in South Africa as I am as well. I did an immediate payment to Bitstamp

The next day I checked my Bitstamp account and nothing had reflected, I contacted support based on this matter, all of a sudden my withdrawals and deposits had been blocked immediately with no apparent to the reason why. my account does say verified and all is in order. I also supplied support proof of funds

Till this day nothing has reflected into my account and support have not given me any reason to why they have done this and to why they are holding my funds from me. All I have received from support is to be “rest assured” How can I be rest assured when you are forcibly holding my funds from me.

I have requested a SWIFT,FOREX recall of my funds that I have sent to you guys,which your bank is refusing to give permission to do so.

I understand your anti money laundering scheme, my funds come from a legitimate source which is a loan. My bank would have not allowed me to progress with this transaction, since they perform a lot of due diligence and for every trade I do, I must provide my source of funds.

it looks like to me you are using policies and procedures as an excuse to defraud me of my funds. Based on giving me no information and giving me no resolution to help rectify this. It has now been over three weeks since this has occurred with no reason as to why.
Please can you assist me in this matter, your assistance will be greatly appreciated
I will gladly supply you any information necessary so we can get this matter concluded as soon as possible

I am so sorry for you. I am in the same boat. I am on day 67 today without access to my funds at Bitstamp, although I am supposedly fully verified?!! and support can’t seem to help!? Let me know if you found a way to get your funds back.
A bunch of people seem to be waiting ( myself included ). Not convinced this company is legit. Seem’s like they’re just stalling. Trying to buy time so more people buy in and the word gets out that it’s not legit. Edit: Others complaining of the same issue on the BBB site

Edit: I eventually got my money. I had to complain here and to the BBB before hand. Retracted my BBB complaint , but it’s still my last transaction. Slow wait times, High fees , 0 communication. None of these issues I’ve had on Kraken. This is why I started with a test amount, I can’t imagine the stress this would of caused if it was my life savings. Perhaps they dont have the liquidity to do what they’re trying to do. Again though, Speculation since I’ve had 0 communication with the exchange ( Not from a lack of trying on my part )
