Uncomfortable with Slow Verification

Hey all,

I sent my personal information (sensitive info of course) to BitStamp about 3 weeks ago now. At that time I was fairly new to crypto and I knew about ripple and wanted to buy it. Of course they led me to BitStamp. After some googling I decided it was trustworthy enough because others experiences success with it.

It is now 3 weeks later (an extra week on top of what they said would be required) and I still have yet to receive verification. At this point I am getting scared for my information. My social security number and drivers license are out there and that is a pretty worrying thing, especially when nothing seems to be coming from it.

The question I pose to you guys is, should I be concerned for my sensitive personal information?
